Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what One Year, operated by AL Consulting LLC ("we," "us"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms and Conditions.

Information we collect

  • Profile and dating resume. The information you choose to share — name, age, location, photos, background, observance, preferences, and the answers that make up your resume.
  • Verification data. Information used to confirm your identity, including details from LinkedIn verification.
  • Account and contact details. Your email address, login credentials, and any contact information you provide.
  • Payment information. When you pay the join fee, our payment processor handles your card details. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage data. Basic technical and activity data — such as device and log information and how you use the Service — to keep it working and secure.

How we use your information

  • To create your account and show your profile to other members.
  • To review applications, verify identity, and keep the community safe.
  • To operate core features — discovery, connection requests, and video calls.
  • To communicate with you about your membership and the Service.
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

How your information is shared

  • With other members. Your resume and profile are shown to other members as part of how the Service works. Please share only what you are comfortable making visible to the community.
  • When you accept a connection. Accepting gives that member your contact details — the email address or phone number you chose — and gives you theirs. This is how a connection talks without us building messaging. It cannot be undone. Passing later ends the connection but does not un-send your details, and deleting your account does not retrieve them from someone who already has them. Only accept connections you are comfortable being contacted by directly.
  • With service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the Service — for example, hosting, our payment processor, identity verification, and email delivery. They may process your information only to provide services to us.
  • For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our members or others.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update most of your information from within your account. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@oneyeardating.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor them.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

Children

The Service is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify members.
